1929 оноос эхлэн “Оскар”-ын шагнал гардуулж эхэлсэн түүхтэй. Шагнал гардуулах 6 дахь ёслолоос эхэлж “Оскар” гэдэг нэртэй болсныг та мэдэх үү? Яагаад ийм нэртэй болсон талаар маш олон таамаг одоог хүртэл явдаг юм. Шагнал гардуулах дүрэм журам, санал хураалт бас нэр дэвших төрөл байнга өөрчлөгдөж иржээ. Бас алга болсон төрөл ч бий. 1939 онд “Шилдэг тусгай эффект” гэдэг төрөл шинээр нэмэгдсэн байна.
Дараа нь уг төрлийг хуваасан, бас дараахан нь “Оскар”-ын төрлөөс бүр хасаж ч үзжээ. Гэхдээ 1978 онд уг төрлийг буцаан жагсаалтад нэмэхээр шийдэж энэ удаад “Шилдэг визуаль эффект” гэдэг нэр өгсөн байна. Өнөөдөр буюу 21 дүгээр зуунд энэ төрөлд ямар бүтээл “Оскар” хүртсэнийг сонирхох болно.
